MAY DAY BUBBLE DAY!
When: May 1, 2020 at 6:00 PM [18:00] (in each time zone)
What: A time to play, to make bubbles together, wherever you are; a time for us to assert our unity together; for families to enjoy their time together and learn a new skill;
Why: Now, many people applaud or beat on pans,; or sing; or howl in the evenings to express our appreciation for those helping us and to assert our indomitable spirit in the midst of this crisis. Blowing bubbles together, with kids or without is a silent, hands-on way to express the same spirit
What can we use to make bubbles: Whatever you have. Bottles of children's bubble mix and children's small wands are fine. Or make you own bubble mix with Dawn dishwashing detergent and water plus some "lubes" (get more information at soapbubble.wikia.com). For a wand, you can use a slotted spoon, a loop of string or yarn, a tin can with ends removed, a potato masher, a cookie cutter, or almost anything that creates a border around a bubble film. For more suggestions, go to soapbubble.wikia.com.
Some Notes: 1. Keep social distancing and masks on: stay safe.
2. If local law lets you be outside for this, wonderful. If not, make bubbles from a balcony, a roof top, or out your windows. Or make bubbles indoors.
